Board Member Caliendo Has Busy Summer, Fall
As a member of the IBAF Technical/Development Committee, ISG Board Member Peter Caliendo of Chicago often has his bags packed and waiting next to his bed so he can travel quickly to the next international baseball event. Besides officiating like the World Cup at the European Championships this summer, Pete also traveled to Florida to assist with the qualifier play-in round of the upcoming World Baseball Classic. In his travels, Pete often gets to rub shoulders with some of baseball's top personalities. At left, while working at the World's Childrens Baseball Fair in Japan, Pete and all time home run king Sadaharu Oh compare their contact positions. Oh, and for the record, the all time tally now reads: Oh - 868 home runs; Caliendo - 5!
